Job Description

Supply Chain Buyer –near Cicero, IL

Responsibilities:

Analyze material requirements to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and services for production utilizing Material Requirements Planning - MRP

Establish production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules.

Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets

Ability to use SAP to manage customer demand and create purchase orders

Negotiate price and delivery terms with suppliers to minimize material cost, inventory levels, and transportation costs while supporting production demand requirements.

Manage future raw material requirements with launch timings and product changes

Assist in production planning and research market trends

Create and maintain reports as needed to monitor inventory levels and support production schedules.

Provide input into the Business Planning Cycle

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required

2+ relevant experience in supply chain function involved in material planning/purchashing and production

SAP ERP or similar knowledge of purchasing, planning, and inventory management modules

CPIM, CPM, CPSM  is a plus
